On 2nd January 1986 Gottfried Grape set up his own company after 13 years in corrosion protection and cleaning services. With twelve employees the company started its business in Brunsbüttel-South, in the immediate neighborhood of the industrial area and hydro engineering at the River Elbe and the North Sea coast.

The areas of activity are still relevant and new ones have been added. Corrosion protection of steel constructions for hydro engineering including concrete renovations is still a priority area. Other specialty areas are high-pressure washing, blasting and coating works for shipping, crafts, trade and industry, but also locksmith work for our customers.

After our premises in Brunsbüttel became too small KorroService moved to the new industrial area in the commercial area Büttel in March 1991. Here, on a 15,000 sqm plot built for the future: 1,500 sqm halls for sandblasting, coating, and warehousing, plus offices and storage space.

KorroService offers its services highly mobile and flexible. For jobs on site we bring our own blasting, coating and dust extraction equipment as well as emergency pumping capacity. The number of staff and qualifications of employees grew steadily with the increasing customer base and the expansion of activity areas.
